My application was successful in regard to an open day in the Baker McKenzie London office. However, this open day had to take place virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions. The day consisted of presentations from Partners/Associates and graduate recruitment, networking opportunities and interactive tasks with trainees centered around negotiation and M&A. The day started around 12:45pm and came to an end at 6:15pm.

Virtual experience in the areas of Project Finance, Banking, Arbitration and Litigation. I gained an insight into complex cross-border transactions. Tasks consisted of constructing a transaction structure chart for the broader supporting team. Also, delivering a short presentation on strategies lenders can adopt to mitigate counter-party credit risk in Sub-Saharan project transactions. Advised a major bank on particular dispute resolution strategies they should adopt to include in their terms for non-retail clients.

Tasks consisted of pitching to a consortium of banks, Project management and a help brief on the due diligence process. Drafting a dispute resolution clause in relation to a shareholder's agreement. Assessing the advancement of AI in law, covering Fintech and programmes such as LITERA. This also included analysing a Share Purchase Agreement and advising whether a client could sign this via E-signature. Also, communicating with clients and updating them through email/voicemail in regard to a consortium project and post-completion tasks.

-Trained in all store operations including Checkouts, food replenishment and compliance.

-Working in a team to provide excellent and efficient customer service during busy periods of the day.
