GE Celma is one of GE Aviation's leading aeronautical engine overhaul and maintenance units in the world. Located in Petrópolis (RJ), it surpassed US $ 2 billion in sales in 2017 and gained prominence in exports in Brazil. The Celma unit completed 67 years in 2018, having carried out about 9 thousand shop visits. With more than 30 customers worldwide, it has 95% of its revenue coming from external customers such as Southwest, FedEx and Latam. Currently, it has approximately 1,800 direct employees and 500 indirect employees, most of them resident near the factory - making GE Celma have a strong influence on the economy of the municipality of Petrópolis.
