Jacques Verzat

Major in physic, mecanic and computer science, minor in statistic. For the second year scientific project, I take part in a team of six in the International Physicist Turnament, an international competition of students teams that solve a score of open problems of physic. Ce stage de recherche, d'une durée de cinq mois, m'a conduit à étudier la probabilité d'apparition et de détection de bulles de plasmas et de perturbations ionosphériques, et de d'établir un modèle étudiant la probabilité de non-détection de ces phénomènes. J'ai implémenté ce modèle sur Matlab, pour le tester sur des données réelles.

Durant ce premier stage en entreprise, j'ai travaillé pour Safran Electronics & Defense à l'adaptation des technologies de localisation inertielle pour le marché ferroviaire. Ce stage fut l'occasion d'apprendre à travailler en équipe dans un cadre professionnel, et m'a permis d'apprendre à utiliser les filtres de Kalman, mais aussi Matlab et Simulink.

Ten weeks at Saint-Cyr, french military academy, and four months with the rank of cadet officer in the 515th logicstic regiment. Mission: comand of platoons and patrols. I discovered there the exemple of managing in the army way. I learned mental hardening, autonomy and to work under pressure. I met a wide variety of people.

Polytechnique includes a military internship of six months. I began it at the batalion that forms reserve officers, during ten weeks.
