I am currently enrolled in my fifth and final year at Oregon Tech and am on track to graduate June 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, with a minor in Applied Mathematics. In the years leading up to and during my college career I experienced a variety of different work environments, ranging from ranching and landscaping to tree felling and restaurant management. I have always been eager to seek out hands-on work, which is why I enrolled in Oregon Institute of Technology. OIT is renowned for the amount of hands-on coursework their students experience during their academic pursuits, which provides them with a practical glimpse into what they might find in real-world industry situations. This was right up my alley, and so far I have not been disappointed. I am really looking forward to being able to dive into meaningful work so that I can finally put this proverbial arm and leg to good use.
