Flight Experience as of 10/2025: TT: 1200 - PIC: 1120 - XCountry: 700 - Night: 45 - Multi: 4.5 ASEL/IR - HP/Complex 1st Class Medical & Valid Passport FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit About me: Graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, I worked on gaining hands-on experience in live news production, investigative reporting, and on-air presentation. As a student journalist, I developed skills in scripting, editing, and coordinating broadcasts, which led to a role as a Producer at News 9 in Oklahoma City (Aug 2022–Jan 2023). These experiences sharpened my ability to communicate clearly and think decisively - skills I now bring to aviation. Aviation & Technical Simulation: In Nov 2023, I joined SAIC as a Remote Pilot Operator at the Oklahoma City Mike Monroney Air Traffic Control Department. There, I supported FAA radar training by simulating pilot responses and occasionally serving as a simulated pilot, using precise phraseology and maintaining high situational fidelity consistent with real-world procedures for both VFR and IFR operations. The role demands focus, verbal clarity, and procedural discipline, traits critical to any professional cockpit environment. Active Pilot Role: Since Apr 2025, I’ve been flying with American Patrols, conducting aerial pipeline patrol and environmental survey missions throughout West Texas and New Mexico. Our operations are conducted under a special FAA issuance that authorizes flight at 500 feet AGL and in lower VFR conditions for surveillance and utility purposes. These missions demand precise routing, dynamic airspace navigation, and real-time decision making under complex weather and terrain environments further strengthening my operational awareness, regulatory discipline, and mission-readiness as a pilot. My unique background blends instructional leadership, ATC simulation experience, and real-world aerial operations. I bring a balanced combination of communication, composure, and technical precision to every flight and student interaction. Next steps, I’m focused on building hours, continuing to instruct and fly with purpose, discipline, and professionalism, with my sights set firmly on a future airline flight deck. Beyond that, I hope to contribute to the broader aviation community by advocating for safety, mentorship, and growth among the next generation of pilots.
