Some of the things I did: 🔹 Payment System Development: I was responsible for a payment disbursement module from the ground up. This system automates transfers for Bank-to-Bank, BEFTN, and NPSB, integrating it with our core accounting application, improving our financial reporting and transaction tracking capabilities. I've also worked on migrating our payment acquisition(supporting SSLCommerz, Bkash) to a centralized gateway. 🔹 LinkedIn Integrations: Developed the project for Integrating LinkedIn applicant data directly into the Bdjobs system, creating an automated flow for all LinkedIn-applied candidates in bulk. This reduced manual data handling by over 95%. 🔹 Architectural Improvements & Security: To improve our codebase's long-term health, I helped refactor existing .NET services into more modular components. This work has made the system easier to maintain and is a key step in preparing for a future move towards a microservice architecture. I also built custom middleware for security features for payment module. 🔹 Automation & Efficiency: I developed features to automate internal processes, created RDLC reports for the finance team and automation features that cut manual work.

My main goal was to enhance the performance and maintainability of our internal accounting software, it's reporting systems, working closely with senior engineers to learn and implement best practices. Key accomplishments during this period: ✓ Report System Modernization: I successfully migrated the backend of 12 different legacy financial reports from Crystal Reports to RDLC. This project delivered a 50% performance improvement in report generation and made the system significantly easier to maintain. ✓ Database Optimization: I was tasked with analyzing and improving database performance. By refactoring critical SQL queries and Stored Procedures, I was able to achieve an average execution time reduction of 30%.

This remote internship was a fantastic introduction to a professional agile development environment. I worked on building and testing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core, gaining exposure to different software architectures, problem-solving techniques, and the day-to-day workflow of a distributed software team.

My career began with this internship, where I got a valuable, non-technical look at the operational side of a core banking application named ABABIL. This experience provided important business context for the fintech industry.
