- Conducted safety analysis of X-Energy's Xe-100 high temperature gas-cooled reactor in Serpent. - Authored V&V report aimed at proving the efficacy of AGREE (a Michigan-developed nodal diffusion code) in simulating design basis accidents in pebble-bed HTGRs. - Contributed to SCALE modelling of X-Energy's Xe-Mobile microreactor.

- Performed an independent study to determine the impact of cladding composition on spent fuel pool reactivity. - Automated the production of SCALE input files for spent fuel pool analysis applications, cutting the time needed to model a spent fuel rack from hours to minutes.

- Streamlined thermal hydraulics component of reload analysis through several Python scripts. - Benchmarked Westinghouse's flagship subchannel code for non-uniform inlet flow conditions seen in Combustion Engineering plants.

- Monitored irradiation experiments in the Michigan Ion Beam Laboratory, which aimed to cut the time needed to gain neutron damage data on materials slated for operation in reactors. - Conducted maintenance on beam components that needed servicing (primarily ion sources).

- Worked in an international environment, helping to design simple reactor cores in MCNP. - Assisted in finding bugs in a new piece of proprietary software aimed at simulating reactor neutronics. - Helped fellow American interns navigate life in Shanghai.

- Assisted in research at a biomedical engineering lab within the United States Military Academy's Department of Chemistry and Life Science. - Conducted cell culturing, western blots, fluorescent microscopy, and protein assays. - Contributed to the development of a sensor capable of olfaction via the monitoring of specially engineered sensory neurons.
