In my role at Cisco as Principal Healthcare & IoT Solutions Architect, I develop and lead a number of transformative solutions with Cisco's larges Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy and Pharmaceutical industries. Each day I work with customers and Cisco technology business leaders to address industry challenges and refine Cisco's architectures and best practices. In this role I am called upon to design Campus, Wireless, Data Center, Remote Site and Internet Edge architectures - all specifically suited to the industry. I meet regularly with CIO/CTO/CMIO and CISO's to bring Cisco technologies and solutions to address their business problems and be the transformative agent to enhance their business.. I have recently led a team of architects in the creation of a Cisco reference architecture for healthcare called. This architecture is based on horizontal best practices specifically tailored for healthcare across various technologies, solutions and architectures within a healthcare delivery environment. I also work on developing Process Control Networks for Cisco's largest pharmaceutical customers and develop industry best practices related to security and ultra-high availability. These mission critical networks borrow and expand upon the network architectures that I've developed over the past 29 years in the healthcare delivery provider space. Recently I've let a highly technical team and completed an outdoor wireless project for a major mining customer in the energy sector. At present it is the largest outdoor Wi-Fi network in the mining/energy space worldwide. This 3 year project was delivered on time, despite the Covid-19 challenges through a number of innovative methods for extending the reach of the US based Cisco Engineering Team.

My responsibilities in this role include the ownership, creation and validation of Cisco Campus architecture best practices. This has resulted in the creation of a number of Cisco Validated Designs that employ the use of Cisco wireless technologies for the Campus, Branch, Remote Site. My responsibilities also include the adoption of Cisco Converged Access architectures. During this time I've been involved with customer and partner discussion around campus architectures and have been a speaker during many Cisco and partner events. I am currently involved in developing the next evolution of Cisco Validated Designs that will use this foundational approach in a modular manner to create easy to deploy solutions that can be automatically deployed across the enterprise.

Responsible for the creation of a series of Cisco Validated Designs (CVD) ranging from the first video call center for language interpreter’s, Nurse Connect - linking nurses to patients through Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Medical-Grade Network 2.0 architecture. Lead a team of healthcare solution architects in creating a number of other solutions including Medical Data Exchange Services, Biomed NAC, Medical Imaging Architectures and PCI for healthcare. By working with a number of medical device vendors, I have successfully guided them in the integration of a number of Cisco technologies into their products and solutions. Responsible for the creation of the first ever Cisco Live Healthcare day in Las Vegas 2011, presented on a number of healthcare related topics during the event.
