Conducted research and writing on issues concerning immigration, domestic relations, and criminal law. Assisted with case preparation and filing of documents in immigration matters, including removal defense, administrative adjustment of status, consular process, and appeals. Drafted and filed domestic relations pleadings in the Cook County Circuit Court. Aided clients in procedural aspects of cases and provided administrative support.

Represented the Public Guardian in adult guardianship cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Conducted case and witness preparation and engaged in legal research and writing concerning citations to recover assets under Section 16-1 of the Probate Act of 1975.

Provided comprehensive client representation in domestic relations, adult guardianship, and landlord/tenant cases; served as Guardian ad litem in contested minor guardianship cases.

Law Division, Tax and Miscellaneous Remedies Section

Conduct and supervise legislative drafting and editing for the Illinois General Assembly, primarily in the areas of civil court practice, family law, probate, and transportation. Oversee the Bureau's responses to requests for public records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. As editor-in-chief of the Bureau's Case Report, organize production of annual compilation of legislatively-significant court decisions.
