The Assistant Store Manager's primary function is to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations including ensuring that the store staff provides friendly, open and enthusiastic customer service, in person and on the phone.

The Store Manager provides leadership and enthusiasm that drives an exceptional customer experience, overall operational execution and total store results. The Store Manager fosters a high quality work environment that establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships that always exceed the customer’s expectations. The Store Manager leads, executes all company initiatives, is results driven, fosters team development, and ensures that sales and profitability goals are exceeded. The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing a single retail store; including merchandise, inventory, and expense control.

This job contributes to Starbucks success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations. This job assists and supervises a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Shares overall responsibility for meeting sales goals set by the strategic sales plan. Responsible for implementing sales processes for training, communicating and tracking progress. As a manager on duty, ensure the proper inventory controls, merchandising, cash controls, store appearance and customer issue resolution procedures are in place and followed. Maintain employee availability and schedules according to store demand.
