With the company being so small, I had to be the jack of all trades. I worked mostly in maintenance of VB6 applications with SQL Server, but also had to write Crystal reports, Inno installers, and custom database scripts (SSIS). I interacted with clients regularly through email, phone and on-site visits.

I was in a rotational leadership program that allowed me to move to different areas of the company while taking leadership training courses. I worked in UI Design, UI Development, and Production Support. I worked mostly with Java Servlets, JSP, and a little bit of Perl. Some notable projects that I worked on include the first generation of RSS feeds and a working prototype to illustrate the conversion of an internal server-side application to a client-side JavaScript application using the Comet pattern.

Apprise Labs is a newly founded startup located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Our goal is to provide innovative and collaborative presentation tools for financial advisors to use alongside their clients. Apprise Labs’ software addresses estate planning, lifetime cash flow and client retirement needs.

I am a full-stack developer and work with C#, ASP.Net MVC, WebAPI, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on a daily basis. I also manage the SQL for whatever backend operations I need to do. I was able to find my passion at this company: front-end development with a focus on design.
