Display & Optical System Lead for a special project: o Built and managed a team to own the display & optical system used for a special project o Built various prototypes, evaluated the customer experiences, and defined the display & optical system architecture o Built a display/optics lab from scratch to characterize novel micro-display & optical systems o Served as acting system TPM and led weekly hardware cross-functional meeting, managed hardware roadmap, BoM cost, and quality control plan

Display lead for next-Gen Echo display product: o Scoped new display technologies and promoted their applications at Amazon display products to enhance the display performance and user experience o Worked with cross-functional teams (EE, ME, SOC, Thermal, UX) to define the next-Gen display architecture with lower power, less bezel, and better dark state

Display lead for Echo Show 5 (Gen 2) & Echo Show 8 (Gen 2): o Worked as primary point of contact, responsible for the display/touch sub-system development (design, cost, schedule, and quality) from pre-concept phase, xVT, to mass production o Built multiple prototypes and conducted display usability tests to help PM better define the display product requirements and translated them to detailed display technical specifications o Analyzed various technical solutions to improve the viewing angle of display system by considering the trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost o Worked with cross-functional teams (sensor, software, factory teams) to develop display white point calibration pipeline and implemented it at FATP line o Worked with display GCM and Engineering team to bring up new display suppliers during the pandemic, including new IC supplier, new panel supplier, and new film supplier, to mitigate the supply chain risk LC specialist for a new technology initiative: o Build LC models, guide LC material characterizations

Display engineer for Amazon Fire 7 tablet: o Defined detailed specs including the display panel, backlight module, and the associated test/calibration procedure o Worked with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve display issues found at the product development cycle to ensure the delivered display product can meet the specifications
