As a retired Army Veteran of over 24 1/2 total years, I understand there are challenges when the time comes to uproot the family for yet another move. I've spent the majority of my Army career as a Career Counselor helping Soldiers and their families meet their needs, wants and desires when it came to their careers. As a designer, a few of my duties will be to clean-up architectural files handed to us from our customers and prepping for sprinkler layout, create submittal packages for our projects, layout sprinkler heads, mains and/or branch-lines, and track the escrow account for permit fees through the city of San Antonio. Collaboration is vital between departments within the company, General Contractors, and the Army Corps of Engineers. Designing spills into the Project Management arena so good organizational and communication skills are also vital.
