Principal investigator for research programs on micro-nanosystems and assays for chip-based chemical and biomolecular analysis directed towards personalized medicine.

Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Urology (School of Medicine) Developed electrokinetic assays and systems to detect low-concentration analytes from complex biological samples and toxins in drinking water.

Lead the engineering of several microfluidic/lab-on-a-chip systems with a strong medical relevance. The work was part of an effort between the faculties of Engineering, Medicine (Cross Cancer Institute) and Public Health Labs (Prov Labs).

Involved in the development of algorithms/solutions for improved reliability of telecom networks. The mandate of this work broadly was to develop solutions for local industry.

Involved in the design, development & testing of systems for custom high-speed optical communication equipment.
