I deliver success in enhancing understanding of the physical environment. Bringing over two decades of experience in the Royal Navy as an operational meteorologist and oceanographer coupled with a passion for innovation, I specialise in developing customer-focussed solutions to unlock strategic goals. Understanding the physical environment is essential to being able to forecast what is going to happen, and this was a key skill that I brought to Defence as a geospatial analyst and meteorological forecaster. Having the right information was no use without being able to communicate it effectively and in the right time frame, so being able to communicate the insights that I derived was an essential piece of my work in delivering information advantage.

Officer Commanding JOMOC, the UK MOD's Centre for operational meteorology and oceanography. Responsible for every meteorological forecast to UK Defence and every oceanographic forecast and product for the Royal Navy. UK MOD representative to key international partners, managing the data sharing agreements across multiple countries and alliances. Delivered global oceanographic sensing programmes for UK MOD including the use of autonomous platforms including floats and gliders for ocean data collection. Chaired the board responsible for guiding the future oceanographic capabilities for the UK MOD and the board for utilising deployable meteorological and oceanographic capabilities across the UK MOD.
