About
For almost three decades, I have been a leader with the soul of an explorer who often pushes the envelope in a constant and unwavering pursuit to deliver value to all involved – clients, investors, employees and society at large. During the Covid period between March 2020 and April 2021, we doubled the size of SLK Global from 3500 to 7000 FTE's creating huge goodwill among our clients. During the same period, we embarked on a strategic review of the business which culminated in the sale to Coforge Ltd, one of India’s leading software firms and a specialist in Robotic Process Automation for >US$ 200 Million equity valuation. I completed my B.E. from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA in 1987 and returned to India to join Kirloskar Oil Engines, a Diesel engine manufacturer. In 1993, I moved to head Kirloskar Copeland, India’s leading compressor manufacturer, as its managing director and CEO, and delivered a five-fold growth in revenue. In 2000, I embarked on the journey to build SLK Global Solutions and SLK Software Services alongside my brother as a private family business. We were pioneers in the development of business process and information technology solutions to service US financial institutions and grew SLK from a start-up to a large multi-million dollar company. I am passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs to create and scale value-based businesses (rather than valuation-based business) through my Rising Stars Foundation. I am a proverbial family man and think of my professional team as my family too, and this has allowed my teammates to always stand by me. When I am not surfing the tides of business, I can be spotted skimming the waves competing at a national level board sailing events (wind surfing).

At SLK Global I co-founded and built a Business Process Management company from startup to US$ 73 million annual revenues over 20 years with multi-country centres in the USA, Philippines, and India. One of the largest banks in the USA with a US$ 200 billion balance sheet was an investor, and I sold all my controlling equity stake to Coforge for >US$ 200 million equity value in April 2021 to facilitate the next leg of growth for the business. SLK Global was a leading business process management solutions provider. At SLK, we focussed on providing business process management services & solutions to some of the large Fortune 500 companies as well as mid-sized and large organisations in the US Banking, Mortgage lending, Title insurance and other sectors. in 2021, we were over 7,000 employees across several locations in India, US and the Philippines. SLK also offered several product based solutions to the real estate mortgage lending, banking and other related financial services industries. From providing quick and accurate property valuations or detailed property ownership and encumbrance reports, to effectively managing compliance issues in mortgage lending and banking, we focussed on delivering value.
