• Strengthened sales of water jet machines by providing test cuts to demonstrate machine capability to customers. Samples and the optimized machine settings were provided within 24 hours of initiation. Parts matched requested dimensions meeting 0.005” tolerances. • Developed processes and machine settings to solve field performance problems for customers. Designed and performed tests to identify optimal machine settings for unique parts and materials. Inspected parts to determine cut quality, and programed taper compensation to increase accuracy. • Trained on 5 axis waterjet operation, 3D path programing, and maintenance/repair. • Collaboratively designed, fabricated and verified the functionality of custom material/part fixtures.

• Reduced the cycle time of quick turn water jet jobs by 50% through developing a procedure to optimize load time and programing the machine tool path to allow for overlapping operations. • Created and implemented an organization system for left over material, sorting by material type, blank size, and thickness. This allowed for fast material location, resulting in high material utilization, avoiding unnecessary purchases, and shortening lead time. • Operated and maintained an OMAX CNC water jet for a custom fabrication shop. • Used OMAX CAD and CAM software, proactively inspected and optimized machine cut paths to prevent head crashes and part losses. • Drafted 2D drawings when needed.
