The Non-Packaging Paper Waste Management Company (DI.XA.) handles the management of Municipal Waste which obliges the importers of Non-Packaging Paper to undertake the obligation of its collection and management.

As an Operations Manager, I successfully implemented a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations. I led a team of cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, warehouse personnel, and external vendors, to develop and execute a comprehensive implementation plan. Through careful planning and execution, we were able to integrate the WMS seamlessly into our existing operations, resulting in improved inventory accuracy, reduced cycle times, and increased productivity. I also provided training and support to warehouse personnel to ensure they were fully equipped to use the new system effectively. Overall, my expertise in operations management and project execution, combined with my strong communication and leadership skills, allowed me to successfully implement the WMS and drive significant improvements in warehouse performance.

As a Purchasing Supervisor, I implemented new and efficient procedures within the operation of the purchasing department, resulting in a significant reduction in risk and overstocking. By analyzing historical data and current trends, I identified opportunities to streamline our procurement processes and reduce waste. I also worked closely with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and optimize our purchasing agreements. Additionally, I implemented new inventory management systems and trained staff on best practices for stock control and management, resulting in improved accuracy and reduced waste. Through these efforts, I was able to minimize the risk of stockouts and overstocking, resulting in significant cost savings for the company. Overall, my expertise in procurement, negotiation, and inventory management, combined with my strong analytical skills, allowed me to successfully implement new procedures and drive improvements in the purchasing department.

This program provided me with a unique opportunity to combine my passion for environmental sustainability and engineering with a deep understanding of design principles. As an aspiring engineer, I have always been fascinated by the role that design plays in shaping our environment. I firmly believe that by integrating sustainable design principles into engineering practices, we can create solutions that are not only efficient and effective but also environmentally responsible. This degree has given me the skills to broaden my knowledge within the built environment and develop skills to innovatively think about the design and operation of buildings. These include passive design, efficient building services systems design, advanced building simulation techniques, occupant health, natural and mechanical ventilation, embodied energy and many other.

This degree helped sharpen my analytical and communicative skills while gaining critical insights into the effect of the digital. Given the mix of both mechanical engineering and digital technology, it has improved my ability to review, synthesise and integrate information and data for research and reporting purposes.

This degree provided me the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge in areas such as web development and design of interactive applications, as well as a broad grounding in digital technology, photography, digital film-making, 3D modelling and special effects. I also gained skills on web technology, web apps, programming, communications, computing and entertainment which taught me how to combine this creativity with technology and business.
