François Candelon

In June 2024, I joined Seven2, the oldest French private equity firm, to lead and monitor the value creation of its portfolio companies, and to bring AI at its core. Previously, I was a Managing Director and Senior Partner of Boston Consulting Group, which I joined in 1993 and Global Director of the BCG Henderson Institute, BCG’s strategy think tank dedicated to exploring and developing valuable new insights from business, technology, and science. I worked in several European countries and in China for seven years. My research focuses on the geopolitical and the economic impact of the Digital Revolution and on the dynamics of the Chinese digital ecosystems. I have published in prestigious business and management magazines such as Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and presented at conferences like Mobile World Congress, TED@BCG, Web Summit, Politico AI Summit, and the Wuzhen Internet Conference. In 2021 I was short-listed for Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards in Digital Thinking for my work with BCG Henderson Institute. I previously lead BCG’s client work in the telecommunications sector globally and have worked extensively with the most advanced global tech companies. My most recent client work focuses on artificial intelligence and data analytics in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. I graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines de Paris. I serve on the Board of Virtuos Games and support several internet startups.
