1. Technical Leader of Network Operation Control Center (NOCC) Network Management System (NMS) for Spaceway, a 1.7 billion dollar 3rd generation multi-satellite broadband data network project 2. Core developer of the Spaceway NOCC real-time Usage Data Mediation (UDM) system for gathering, processing and forwarding transaction records to a billing system. 3. Member of system verification team responsible for Spaceway NOCC system verification.

Based on system requirements, designed and implemented Network Management System (NMS) for Alcatel's high-speed data switches (Frame Relay, ATM, etc.) using HP Openview framework. Responsibilities including designing and implementing NMS GUIs using Unix/C/Motif, interface/management of Oracle Database, cooperating with embedded software groups to define all the MIBs (Management Information Base) used by SNMP and CMIP, and implementing Q3 interface for TMN environment using C++/OO, etc. Led a small team to investigate In-Band network Management with the pluggable protocols framework for standard CORBA middleware (TAO) to support QoS specification and enforcement, integration with high-speed networking technology and efficiency, predictability, and scalability optimizations ; Team Leader in the PNNI project for newest ALCATEL HSS (High Speed Switch) system to design and develop private ATM network routing and internetworking configuration management software (PNNI). ;
