This spring quarter interactive seminar exposes students to diverse career skillsets and pathways in sustainability, and how to align sustainability theory with career opportunities. - Civil and Environmental Engineering/Earth Systems 109: Greening Buildings and Behavior (2010-2014). This interdisciplinary course introduced students to organizational behavior on green buildings and how to institutionalize sustainability in a large enterprise.

Highlights include: • 2008-2021: Chairship of campus-wide Sustainability Working Group with 30+ departments. • 2014-2021: Communication and inter departmental coordination related to the new Central Energy Facility (designed to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 100%) sustainability benefits; leading tours, seminars, executive presentations, and community outreach. • 2017-2021: Senior staff liaison for Stanford-Doerr School of Sustainability to design the Living Lab blueprint and approach. • 2016-2017: Chairship of the Board of Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) with membership of 950+ universities. • 2012-2015: Facilitator and primary staff liaison to Sustainability 3.0 strategic planning between faculty, student and staff to design key initiatives for the university. • 2015-2020: Design, architecture and implementation of 'My Cardinal Green’ engagement initiative for green actions (7000 users in 2019) • 2016-2021: Leadership of the Zero Waste by 2030 plan, business case, staffing and approvals through the Academic Senate. • 2018-2021: Design and direction of first Business Systems initiative (dashboards and sustainability report cards) to improve business processes, data-driven decisions, and efficiency. • 2018-2021: Steered and designed Scope 3 impact, data strategy, and governance. • 2019-2021: Initiated first resilience and adaptation measure study for post pandemic recovery efforts. • Featured speaker at The Churchill Club for Climate Change Solution through Data (2019), Clean Energy Education & Empowerment (C3E) Initiative Summit (2018), VERGE Clean Energy Summit by GreenBiz (2018), and the Green Sports Alliance Summit (2016). • Awarded Sustainability Champion and the Best Practices Award by the California Higher Education.

• Chaired new Sustainability Working Groups on 6 topics and created How to Guides for website for higher education best practices. • Designed and authored annual report (Sustainability: A year in Review) from 2010 onward. • Initiated the early pilots for the Building Level Sustainability Programs (BLSP) across departments. • Authored the first Green Purchasing Guidelines with General Counsel’s office. • Steered renewable energy and green construction education programs for industry executives, researchers, and the local community. • Chaired the campus-wide Sustainability Working Group from 2008 to 2021, with representation from 30+ departments and stakeholders.

This launched as the Stanford Energy System Innovations (Sesi.stanford.edu) initiative in 2014 with the new Central Energy Facility coming online in April 2015. This is a first of its kind initiative that transitioned the university from natural gas-based cogeneration to electricity-based district level heat recovery and renewable energy; optimizing power plant operations to eliminate carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2. • Managed the Green Fund student internship program to support student-led initiatives. Topics covered energy, water, waste, transportation, IT, food and procurement. • Architected the first sustainability programs plan for the university and roadmap for approval and development.

Founder of the Cal Climate Action Partnership (CalCAP), a collaboration of faculty, administration, staff, and students working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality at UC Berkeley. - Managed the Cal Climate Action Partnership (CalCAP), a greenhouse gas emissions reduction research and implementation program. - Led the first climate action feasibility study and plan for the university. The study’s recommendations led to the Chancellor’s adoption of carbon reduction target of reaching 1990 levels by 2014. - Guided decarbonization feasibility for projects in campus operations, specifically in energy, transportation, purchasing, and construction until the formalization of Cal's Office of Sustainability.

- Designed, configured, and presented product features and benefits of Siebel enterprise applications. - Key presenter at corporate events, the Siebel Executive Briefing Center and product training events. - Managed and steered product divisions, including Sales and Engineering teams, to create product value propositions and implementation strategies for Siebel Business Processes (best practices). - Created, implemented, and managed the Sales Library System and Sales Certification Program for the Global Sales Division.

- Steered cost savings initiatives for customer offerings - Regularly presented at executive briefings on customer satisfaction - Managed product testing, pricing, and vendor relationships for dozens of concurrent eCommerce and Loyalty Rewards Programs. - Trained telemarketing teams on product features and customer value.

Twenty participants are selected by the president and provost each year. Program includes strategic thinking, leading change, emotional intelligence, delivering results, leadership styles and ethics. The program is designed to help senior level management develop leadership capabilities, expand knowledge of university processes, and build a strong network of alliances.
