I started to work for Mustek LTD in 1988 as factory manager in Garankuwa , then moved down to Cape Town in 1990 to start the Mustek office in the Western Cape , the office opened 01 August 1990 and still operational and growing year on year . It was my mission to establish the Mecer brand as a force in the region and building it up to the level where Mecer is still the No1 desktop computer , not only in the WC region , but with the help of the other regions in SA. In 1993 i did see potential growth in the Eastern Cape , with this in mind , from the WC office , opened the region now called Mustek EC . Both regions continued to grow as seperate PTY's until Mustek listed in 1997 and all the regions became divisions , part of Mustek LTD with the head office in Midrand , Gauteng . 2009 the company change the way that it conduct business for the past 20 years up to that time and we embark on a central wharehouse system , this lead to the change of my roll in taking on the Northen Cape , Freestate and for 3 year KZN . With the huge grow in KZN , it was decided to align KZN closer to Gauteng . Mustek still see massive turnover growth and a very positive future
