• Created a water flow monitoring system for the Quechan Tribe in the Sonoran desert. Involved creating custom PCB’s, microcontroller programming, LORA wireless communication, and buck/boost converter design. • Created a functioning FM radio using the ATMega128 microcontroller, with volume control, 7-seg display, encoder use, PWM generation, and debounced pushbuttons. Taught familiarity with encoder reading, microcontroller interrupts, UART, SPI, TWI, and op-amp design. • Created a circuit that could listen to a generated audio tone, convert the discrete readings into a signal using a fast-Fourier transform, and determine the tone that was played. Involved register manipulation and interrupt use.

Electrical Engineer Intern

Involved reading VHF and UHF signals, using a network analyzer and an Instrument Landing System (ILS). • Led the transfer process from PADS to Altium Designer. Also created a company Altium365 library. • Created a PCB from a schematic using Altium, saw it through to company reviews and purchasing. • Reorganized the company PCB version control system, created GitHub library to conveniently store all company PCB layouts, schematics and Gerber files for all versions. • Learned about industry configuration management, design approval processes, and project planning/management.
