Eric Schrier

As president of FX Entertainment, Schrier is responsible for overseeing all aspects of FX-branded original content on FX, FXX and FX on Hulu. His responsibilities include management of creative, business affairs, casting, production and business operations. He is also responsible for oversight of FX’s television studio, FX Productions (FXP). Schrier was promoted to president, FX Entertainment, in May 2019 after previously serving as president of Original Programming. He has played a key role in the development and curation of the many award-winning and acclaimed hit FX Original Series including “The Americans,” “Archer,” “Atlanta,” “American Crime Story,” “American Horror Story,” “Better Things,” “Dave,” “Devs,” “Fargo,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Justified,” “Sons of Anarchy” and “The Shield.” In addition to scripted series, he has also expanded FX efforts into the documentary genre. Over the past decade, FX has received 369 Emmy® Award nominations and won 68 Emmys. Schrier has been instrumental in the growth and success of FXP since its inception in 2006. Schrier’s belief that FX properties could thrive in the Home Entertainment, off-network syndication and merchandising was met with skepticism because live-action basic cable series had never achieved any level of success. Through his efforts, FX shows changed the paradigm in ancillary revenue streams for basic cable series in DVD sales, merchandising and syndication. The growth of FXP fueled the expansion of the FX Original Series roster, which is regarded by many television critics as the best lineup of original programming of any network or streaming service. FXP has produced or co-produced more than 40 shows across drama, comedy, limited, animated and documentary series. Since 2000, Schrier has been involved on more than 100 FX original programs totaling almost 2,000 hours of content.
