1. Program Initiation & Expansion: a. Launched a three-year USAID-funded program, expanded support within the Pakistani government, and diversified donor support from the US Department of State and HHS. 2. FELTP Recognitions and Achievements a. 2017: WHO Health Emergencies Programme recognized FELTP Pakistan as a successful national workforce model. b. 2016: Received US-CDC Director FETP Award of Excellence in Outbreak Response among 70 countries. 3. Program Scale-Up and Impact a. Increased trainees from 8 per year in 2007 to 60 per year in 2016. b. Developed a sustainable Event-Based Surveillance System via DSRUs, with 11 units investigating 300 outbreaks and being 95% government-funded. 4. Supervision and Technical Assistance a. Provided technical assistance for Human Avian Influenza and H1N1 Influenza outbreak investigations. b. Established Influenza Surveillance systems and conducted multiple training sessions. 5. Innovations and Initiatives a. Initiated the National Stop Transmission of Polio (N-STOP) program, starting with 16 officers and growing to 65. b. 1) Outbreak Investigations as an EIS Officer: a) Led three investigations on tuberculosis (TB): a. In rural Mississippi, confined to a small geographic area. b. Among the homeless population in Baltimore, with some co-infected with HIV. c. Among illicit drug users in Miami. 2) Hurricane Katrina Deployment: a) Deployed to New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina. b) Conducted general and mental health need assessments for residents. c) Participated in ongoing CDC activities in the area. 3) Research Publications: a) Published two major papers based on EIS work, each cited over 30 times. b) Both papers addressed overlooked areas. c) One paper on contact investigation was recently used in an Ebola investigation in Africa. 4) TB Surveillance Evaluation: a) Evaluated the TB Surveillance System for the Arkansas Department of Correction upon the state's invitation. 5) Public and Professional TB Advice: a) Provided TB advice to the general public and health professionals as a duty officer for the CDC's Division of Tuberculosis Elimination. 6) Patient Recruitment Oversight: a) Oversaw patient recruitment for the Isoniazid Prevention Trial in Botswana, covering for a permanent physician on leave (all patients were HIV-infected). 7) Polio Immunization Campaign in Ethiopia: a) Provided technical assistance to the polio immunization campaign. b) Evaluated and monitored National Immunization Days (Nov - Dec 2005).

1. Managed a US$ 1.2 million USAID funded project with language difficulties (official and local language Portuguese) 2. Development of two years detailed implementation plan, which was approved at John Hopkins University without any modifications 3. Ensured work is implemented according to work plan 4. Encouraged leadership to start international training programs for the local staff which was implemented to ensure sustainability and human resource development in the country 5. As a provincial coordinator I also oversaw Health Alliance International other projects based in Sofala province (e.g. VCT & pMTCT Services, Syphilis Rapid Tests study, A study of voucher system for bednets among pregnant women)

1) Hired to develop innovative training programs for malaria prevention and management. 2) This role was part of a USD 40 million grant awarded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 3) Focused on four African countries (Tanzania, Malawi, Gambia, and Ghana) with the aim to create globally applicable programs. 4) Key Contributions: a) Training Programs: i) Developed strategies for malaria prevention and management in pregnancy. ii) Created income-generating courses for African Training Centers to ensure financial independence and sustainability. b) In-House and Distance Teaching: i) Involved in teaching programs at the school. ii) Contributed to distance-based MSc programs.

In my role as a Research Associate at Stanford University, I led the setup of a multi-center NIH-funded study in the San Francisco Bay area, recruiting 6,000 families and 20,000 participants over five years. I maintained communication with key agencies, designed recruitment strategies, supervised staff, and authored articles for publication.

• Assisted in teaching three graduate classes, including organizing a field survey trip and coordinating with various departments. • Conducted independent sessions for classes on International Health and Research methods for Developing Countries.

• Evaluated, edited, and produced materials for Laboratory Training Courses in the Emerging Infections Division at the World Health Organization. • Developed a reference manual on emerging infectious diseases to enhance training effectiveness. • Established the first email list for WHO interns, facilitating networking opportunities and collaboration among interns.
