Enrico Scoccimarro
Co-founder & CSO @ FenX
About
I believe the combination of science, engineering, design, and business thinking are key to be successful in driving innovation and creating new products. Very fast understanding. Driven. Independent. Reliable. During my internships and at FenX I have been appreciated for having a high level of commitment and for requiring high standards for myself regardless of the project or goal I was pursuing. This is also reflected by my academic track record. At ETH I was among the best students of the Material Science Bachelor and Master program and currently hold a GPA of 5.88/6. My effort resulted in a successful application for the Excellence Scholarship awarded by ETH Zürich. Intrinsically curious. Motivated by new challenges. I love working in interdisciplinary and intercultural environments where different backgrounds result in bold new concepts and approaches. This is why I decided to join FenX AG as co-founder and push the development, scale-up, and commercialisation of novel sustainable thermal insulation. When working in teams, I both keep an eye on the big picture and focus on the details always remaining on track. During several projects and lectures during my studies and especially at FenX I trained leadership and communication skills, both fundamental for the final success of the team. Solution driven. Efficient. I have a solid interdisciplinary scientific background in Materials Science, including additive manufacturing, energy and biomedical applications gained through courses and projects. My other interests cover also entrepreneurship, business and economics and Design Thinking. I strive to apply the concepts from Design Thinking in my daily work and as facilitator of various DT workshops. I love skiing, sailing, playing volleyball and tennis. My passions extend to travel, art, and gastronomy: I like to experiment with food and drinks. Contact: enrico.scoccimarro@outlook.com
