Senior Procurement Engineer - Transceivers, AOCs, DACs | DPUs, NICs, Switches for HPC AI- NPI • Manage and own all supplier relations with key suppliers on HPE’s ASL for Networking products • Review supplier products and processes for compliance with HPE’s standards and ensure all new potential suppliers meet the business, technical, and financial requirements • Lead the RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes along with the supplier selection process to select the appropriate supplier for a specific product • Provide second source and multi-source options for networking product qualifications for NPI and Sustaining products • Communicate and collaborate with suppliers, commodity managers, and engineers to develop and implement changes to products or processes to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs • Assist in risk-buy analysis for components to avoid delays in product launch • Evaluate supplier capabilities to ensure production output can meet HPE’s demand in both normal and abnormal supply conditions • Engage with engineering to ensure documentation and internal setups are complete to warrant on-time PO placement for components • Organize and host supplier roadmap meetings for architects, engineers, program and product managers • Coordinate technical meetings between suppliers and engineers to help resolve any issues that arise during various NPI phases • Participate in internal meetings and provide procurement engineering leadership and perspectives to other cross-functional teams • Provide presentations, market analysis, and detailed status reports to upper management and VPs • Provide guidance and mentoring to Commodity Managers and less experienced team members

• Manage multiple projects across diverse commodities, suppliers, and business functions for sustaining products • Lead all Life Time Buy purchases based on Where Used data, historical usage, purchase history, and cost to redesign • Work with cross-functional teams and interact with different levels of management and job functions to align on strategy and initiatives • Drive continuous improvement with suppliers, improve sourcing decisions, develop suppliers, and assist with technical matters • Drive and manage suppliers to become more efficient and apply best practices to meet objectives related to cost, delivery, performance, schedule, and quality • Negotiate with suppliers, identify, and execute cost saving opportunities and appoint the most suitable suppliers who deliver high quality products at competitive pricing • Ensure that the facility has all necessary materials needed for production by requesting RFQs, placing and managing POs, and tracking delivery of components • Own and lead supplier onboarding process to the ASL and negotiate payment terms for new and existing suppliers • Assist buyers, planners, and suppliers with technical questions pertaining to electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components • Analyze bills of material and understand key requirements, material dimensions, and material compositions • Identify alternatives for obsolete components, assist in providing options for component qualifications, and initialize projects to update component status in SAP • Review PCNs, ECOs, QNs, and RCCAs that impact material or the supplier

•BOM and Risk Assessment Lead Engineer: Participate in early design engineering engagement with core teams and provide alternate component options on BOMs (bill of materials) for NPI (New Product Introduction) and sustaining products •Responsible for directing and managing the implementation and execution of PCN (Product Change Notifications)automation and BOM process automation projects using Visual Basic and SQL programming languages •Responsible for the evaluation of component hardware, material properties, and electrical properties. •Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategies. Effectively communicate plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options •Work with other quality functions to monitor and audit suppliers to ensure performance to HPE’s quality objectives •Knowledge and in-depth understanding of industry specifications, codes, and standards. •Interface with design engineers, quality engineers, and product engineers to ensure the quality, reliability, and availability of components •Zero-defect mentality.
