Contributed to the development and maintenance of a P0 team codebase with microservice architecture using Java 8, Java 17, Spring Boot, Azure Cosmos, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Maven, and Splunk. Manage and set up the entire infra with Dataproc, GCS, BigQuery, etc on Google Cloud Platform in both staging and production environments. Led the project and implemented the Kafka to BigQuery pipeline ingesting data from Kafka and sending data to partitioned and properly configured BigQuery tables with monitoring, logging, error handling, and fault recovery. Migrating from Clickhouse to BigQuery reduced the annual cost from approximately $60,000 to $35,000, achieving nearly 42% cost savings and handling around 1.2TB of data every month.

My most cherished experience in my professional career. I am grateful for the unforgettable 8 months with my awesome mentor Tim and my incredible team and colleagues. Wishing you guys all the best! Developed an end-to-end project using the Go programming language, taking engineering ownership with my mentor from initial design to successful shipping. Made extensive use of tools such as Kafka stream, Snowflake, grpc, restful API, Kubernetes, terraform, datadog, AWS S3, DynamoDB, and ECR to ensure robust functionality and performance. Strengthened my public speaking and communication skills through stand-up meetings, design reviews, engaging with stakeholders, company-wide feature demos, and code reviews.

Developed and maintained a web application similar to Canvas using Vue.JS, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL for a Chinese Tutor startup.
