Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Associate Il @ PlaceWorks

About

Hello 👋🏼 I help evaluate environmental impacts related to development projects as an Air Quality/GHG Specialist at PlaceWorks Urban Planning firm. My background is in environmental science and my thesis work at University of San Diego involved examining the effect of various food regimes on the somatic growth rates and nutritional status for the California Killifish (Fundulus parvipinnis). I have experience with R Programming, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), leadership in a collaborative environment, MySQL, and grant writing. At PlaceWorks, I have learned how to compile data from clients in order to use the California Emissions Estimator Model (CalEEMod) and effectively prepare environmental impact assessment documentation that are in compliance with CEQA. Furthermore, I am passionate about the interconnectedness of marine research, policy engagement, and science communication! I am also interested in how to improve my analytical skills to gain data insights on certain issues or products.
