About

I am an eco-physiologist interested in understanding the ways in which animals cope with environmental stress. My research examines the physiological responses of mosquitoes to various stresses including climate change, disease transmission and insecticides. In my research, I frequently focus on metabolism and respiratory mechanisms in insects, often in relation to stress. Aside from this research I am also interested in broader ecological questions such as land use and its effects on biodiversity. I enjoy teaching and interacting with students as well as getting out into the field when I can for both research and restoration projects.
