Anticus Partners is a regional fund manager specialising in Venture Capital and Private Equity investments into SMEs across Yorkshire and the Humber. We manage both the Seedcorn Fund and Growth Fund on behalf of our limited partner, Finance Yorkshire. As an Investment Executive at Anticus Partners, I am responsible for deal origination, market analysis, due diligence, and supporting on deal execution. I work primarily on the Seedcorn Fund, investing in innovative early-stage businesses with high growth potential.

I continued to intern at Anticus Partners, where I further developed professionally and took on a more active role within the Investment Team. I was given further responsibilities within this role including: 1. Working on transactions from start to finish, contributing at every stage of the investment process 2. Expanding my professional network and increasing my client-facing interactions 3. Presenting to the Investment Committee

After developing a passion for supporting SME growth in the North of England during my International Business degree, I joined Anticus Partners as a summer intern, working as a Business Support Executive. Responsibilities and successes include: 1. Evaluating pitch decks, business plans, and financial forecasts to identify potential investee companies. 2. Imputing data into the internal CRM system 3. Creating marketing maps and competitor analyses for investment papers 4. Supporting portfolio companies to build their ESG credentials 5. Received positive feedback for my contributions at Anticus, resulting in an extension of my internship

In my third year of university I was elected treasurer of the Snowsports Society. My role as treasurer included: -Applying for development funding from the university -Managing both the club account and development fund -Creating an annual profit and loss statement for both the club account and development fund -Setting membership fees and merchandise prices for the year -Booking travel for competitions across the UK -Networking with local bars and clubs to source funding through sponsorships -Making decisions on expenditure from the club fund (high quality skis/maintenance kit) -Analysing financial records in order to make decisions on future expenditure -Worked as part of the committee to decide on and implement future aims and objectives for the society

During school and university, I worked part time at Cottons Hotel and Spa as a Food and Beverage Assistant, where I gained hands-on experience in customer service, teamwork, communication, and sales techniques like menu upselling. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cottons Hotel and would highly recommend it to other sixth form and university students.
