Infrastructure Superintendent - BBE at Manitoba Hydro Keeyask project.

Mechanical Superintendent – Potash Canada Head Frame Construction. Making recommendations to Design Build Engineers. Complete Control Estimate for all mechanical trades. Perform selection of Bid Contractors, Bid Review and Awarding of Contracts. Coordinate all mechanical duties, including plumbing, pipe fitting, sprinkler fitting and HVAC. Review all ITP’s, JSA’s, extra work to contract, including final sign off of all jobs and ITP’s. In charge of the QC for all mechanical trades. Perform annual review of Marque Construction Mechanical Quality Control Manual.

Construction Coordinator / Superintendant Perform QC Inspections and adhere to contract and code. Coordinate procurement of construction materials. Provide technical assistance to engineering and sub-contractors. Maintain job diaries, site photos and proper claims documentation. Perform job estimates. Assist in bid process and language. Supervise all sub-contractors and hourly paid employees (Approximately 180+ personnel). Assist in planning, scheduling and executing construction activities. Issue site instructions for extra work. Assist Safety Department in JHA reviews. Administer coordination and safety meetings. Authorization person for all permits. Acting Construction Manager during his absence. Supervisor for all above ground construction including the freeze plant and the ground freeze for both shafts.

Supervisor in charge of preparation and production of all Test Packs, for the piping systems on the “Eirik Raude”. Hiring of all test pack engineers, foreman and securing all sub contracts for specialty work. In November 2001 my duties were expanded to the Piping Superintendent in charge of all aspects of the piping systems. At peak production I was in charge of as many as 425 men including test pack engineers, general foreman, foreman, tradesmen, and all sub-contractor’s staff. I was also a recruiter for staff for every aspect of rig construction. Recruited support staff for setting to work all mechanical systems on board the oil rig. I was successful in completing the rig ahead of all other components and meeting the tests and trials phase with all systems operating successfully.
