Led the Cloud Engineering team composed of DevOps, Full Stack, Front-end, and Machine Learning engineers across the United States and Europe. This team built, operated, and managed a real-time Machine Learning platform on Kubernetes deployable on AWS, Azure, GCP, and On-Premise infrastructure. Delivered a new user interface to streamline the ability to create multiple instances of workspaces comprised of the Splice Machine Hadoop / HBase / Spark based database, Splice Machine Feature Store, MLFlow, Machine Learning Model deployment, Jupyter Notebooks, Kafka, Airflow, Nifi, and SQL Client in a cloud environment.

Accountable for technical design, deployment, monitoring and ongoing support and maintenance of a diverse set of cloud technologies. Developed helm charts and docker images for Zookeeper, HDFS, HBase and Spark, including the use of affinity rules, upgrade strategy, pod disruption budget, readiness and liveness probes, and configurable persistent volumes. Implemented improvements to the Cloud Manager web application in React / Nodejs code to support deploying workspaces on Kubernetes.

Held bottom line accountability for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects, including managing project plans, project charts, SOWs, sizing and kickoff for various PoCs. Developed the Proof of Concept Lifecycle process and collateral. Provided developer and architect level coaching on the Hadoop, HBase, and Splice Machine products and created videos for customers.

Developed all-channel software solutions for retail clients while leading a diverse range of projects to completion, becoming the “go-to” person for customer requirements, implementation specifics details and base product enhancement recommendations. Facilitated multiple sites and features to give business users greater control over the look and feel of their site by designing and leading the framework for the current base code Reference Implementation. Provided strategic oversight in multiple commerce Professional Services implementations, including sites for Thorne Research, Medifast, and Tuesday Morning. Led and executed an internal initiative for creating an internal developer network where resources could quickly and easily share code and knowledge.
