As Operations Manager at Manipal Hospital, Varthur, I was responsible for overseeing the Emergency Medicine department, Radiology, Laboratory, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, and Home Care services. My primary focus in the Emergency Department was to streamline patient flow and ensure consultants delivered exceptional clinical care. I closely coordinated with the billing and insurance teams for quick submissions and approvals, worked on timely admissions and discharges, and managed bed assignments with the internal IP team. In Radiology and the Laboratory, I managed patient flow, ensured timely investigations, and coordinated availability of technicians and doctors, while also ensuring compliance with government statutory requirements. I worked on improving conversions from outpatient services to Radiology & Laboratory, scheduling appointments, and ensuring test reports were delivered promptly. Conversions improved from mere 15% to 21% for Radiology & 21% to 26% contributing close to an additional of 1 cr. per month from each department. I spearheaded the Home Care vertical from the ground up, managing services like nursing, physiotherapy, equipment, doctors, and medicine delivery at home. Under my leadership, Home Care became the second-highest revenue-generating vertical in the Manipal group (out of 33 hospital) between 2021-2024, achieving a remarkable 145% YoY growth by the time of my exit.
