Management of connected devices in the field has been a perennial problem for operators, OEM's and startups. The standard operating process for even simple tasks like provisioning, firmware update, log management and field debug has not changed for decades. As the number of connected consumer, enterprise and IOT devices increases, the cost of managing them increases exponentially. And easy onboarding of customer is another problem. Project leadership and technical expert for IMS IP Communications (IR.92 VoLTE, IR.92 ViLTE, RCS and IR.51 VoWiFi) interoperability to accelerate commercial deployment of IP Comms solutions by mobile operators. Focused on the VoLTE interoperability initiative / VIRTUE to reduce fragmentation in IR.92/94. Lead a task force to develop a China region profile with China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, and a Global Open Market Device (OMD) profile for VoLTE/ViLTE/VoWiFi. Coordinated with top-tier ecosystem vendors such as Qualcomm, Samsung, LG, Apple, MediaTek, Microsoft, Ericsson, Nokia (ALU) and TCL for implementation of latest interoperable specs and testing methods.
