Hello! My name is Dorian Domingo Marquez and I am an undergraduate geography student specializing in GIS with a passion for the earth sciences, ecology, conservation and environmental justice. I use my education and technical expertise within geography as a medium between understanding human spatial interaction with natural world phenomena. I aim to utilize my experience as a student and researcher to find sustainable solutions towards climate driven issues such as environmental justice within underserved communities and changing atmospheric phenomena. My environmental interests lay in the exploration of topics in marine ecosystems, marine biology, severe weather phenomena, climatology, agricultural geography and oceanic conservation. Helped to coordinate and manage the Fall 2024 New Member Service Project: "Run to Regrow 5k". A 5k race aimed to fundraise money for wildfire relief in Los Angeles. I was in charge of coordinating volunteers, managing city + university permits and directing Rotaract members to work positions for event execution. Additionally, I made a map of the race course using ArcGIS Online! We donated a total of $1,600!
