As Managing Director of WA Appliance Parts, Don Wood is responsible for leading one of Western Australia’s largest and most trusted appliance parts suppliers. Following the September 2025 acquisition, he now oversees four strategically positioned outlets across Perth—North, Central, South, and the East distribution centre—while also driving the company’s growing e-commerce network that services both WA and the East Coast of Australia. In this role, Don provides overall strategic direction and ensures operational excellence across all sites. He works closely with store managers to guarantee service quality. He is accountable for financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, and he personally leads negotiations with local and international suppliers to strengthen supply chains and secure competitive pricing across thousands of stocked line items. Don is also the driving force behind the business’s digital transformation. He integrates ERP, CRM, POS, and inventory systems to create a streamlined order management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across online and offline channels. His initiatives are designed to reduce dispatch errors, improve fulfillment speed, and enhance the customer experience while positioning WA Appliance Parts as a market leader in innovation and reliability. Expanded national reach by scaling warehouse capacity, logistics, and distribution to meet growing demand across retail, trade, and eCommerce channels. Drove digital transformation by collaborating with IT students and fresh talent to develop new online systems, improve eCommerce infrastructure, and increase customer engagement. Implemented streamlined processes that improved order fulfillment speed, stock management, and customer service. Built and mentored a resilient team, fostering a culture of innovation and practical problem-solving to keep pace with rapid growth.
