Project and Construction Management of HV Projects as per E9163 Contract. Prepare and manage project program/s (Gantt Charts). Monitor project program (plan vs. actual) and take preventative or corrective action where necessary. Optimize project budgets and schedule including materials required on site. Manage project resources, reporting staff and sub-contractors. Chair project site meeting/s with team, external departments and clients to ensure project deliverables are on target and met. Ensure adherence to applicable Health and Safety Standards and procedures, conduct safety audits, safety meeting, site inspections and Incident investigations. Compile project quality assurance plan and procedures in conjunction with QA department and obtain client approval thereof. Project administration comprising of compilation of management reports, invoicing forecasts, verification and approval of supplier invoices etc. Compile Commissioning reports and documentation for handover to client; Obtain handover certificates. Project Involvement: Supply, Installation and Commissioning 132 kV High Voltage cable from Grosvenor to Dalton Substation. Supply, Installation and Commissioning 132 kV High Voltage cable from Pinetown to Underwood Substation including 11kV loop cables. Supply, Installation and Commissioning 132 kV High Voltage cable from Windsor to Old Fort Substation.

Manage projects as per company’s project lifecycle processes. Prepare and monitor project program/s (Gantt Charts). Prepare project reports for Exco and optimize project budgets and schedules. Chair project APQP meeting/s with team, external departments and clients to ensure project deliverables are on target and met. Preparation of project documentation (milestones) as per project lifecycle processes. Liaise with project stakeholders including clients, suppliers and design teams. Manage and oversee industrialization of products and containment period of units in field. Implement project close out and handover procedures upon completion.

Support implementation of a quality management system that will monitor compliances and non-conformances in terms of Eskom standards and policies relating to the critical HV equipment, break bulk cargoes, haulage & storage of equipment from South African Ports to final destination. Provide input to the development of Quality plans. Providing advice on vendor/supplier’s quality control requirements to ensure contractor quality control during shipping and transportation. Schedule and execute site supplier inspections. Reviewing and advising on all Quality Control issues with relevant stakeholders. Planning, organize and provide specialist training and guidance related to product quality and reliability. Develop, consolidate and report on quality performance. Conduct physical inspections at various site/s. Inspect and witness testing of strategic equipment. Witness and evaluate testing conducted in accordance with policies and procedures. Issue Suppliers with Non-Conformance Report for contravening policies and standards. Evaluate supplier’s response to NCR and mitigating measures taken. Compiling and reporting of inspections, Lessons Learnt, Value add to enhance project knowledge base.

Project Management of Electrical Projects ensuring budget, time and quality constraints adhered during project duration. Contract management and identifying change in scope of work, early warnings and variation claim management. Project Planning in terms of deliverables; procurement schedule; required resources; cost & cash flow; risks & opportunities and expected margins. Obtain Handover certificates. Projects :Logistics & Operations – Manage, expediate uninterrupted delivery of High voltage equipment and materials to construction site. Supply chain management with service providers. Inspection, testing and reporting of HV equipment discharged at South Africa Ports. Ensure PQP process adhered to at hold points. Project Involvement: • OCGT fault recorder project for Eskom. • Project Manager for Eskom’s LBP scheme contract. • Eskom Kendal Generator Protection scheme. • Eskom Kendal AVR Scheme . • Durban Metro Municipality – E8781: 132 kV Outdoor Switchgear Framework Contract.

Assisted Senior Project Manager responsible for Tata Steel Plant & uMlathuze Municipality - HV projects. Tracking and co-coordinating project activities until completion and handover to the client. Liaised with client, project consultant, systems engineers and site managers to ensure successful completion of assigned project. Attended site meeting to ensure that project progress was maintained, and site issues resolved. Procurement and supply chain management of local and foreign material ensuring un-interrupted site construction activities. Responsible for project administration including cost control, verification and approval of suppliers and sub-contractors’ invoices.

Upgrade of Lonmin Karee K4 HV Substation project from Civil to Handover. On-Site Maintenance of various Krugersdorp substations including Isolators, Circuit breakers and Transformer tap changers.
