Throughout the work experience at Corkscrew I was part of a team that worked on setting up a charity shop with an eBay store as well as preparing a mock site in preparation for the store to open their first e-commerce store. The brief for this project included researching the best hosts for their site and working with the store manager to help prepare her for launching the online store. Other tasks included developing our own business ideas and getting practice in finance and setting up websites for possible future companies. Overall this was vital experience has taught me valuable presentation and communication skills that I hope will serve me well in the future.

Completed a post graduate higher diploma in computer science, the topics that were completed included; Database technology Database administration Software development (java) Software development management Computer systems Throughout the year of my postgraduate diploma I completed a number of assignments which included creating java programs such as battleship games, card games and a marking system for school teachers. Other assignments included creating an oracle database straight from the command line as well as a final report on the possibility of SQL being replaced in the future by NOSQL.
