David Freeman

Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Skilled in Marketing Management, Negotiation, Business Planning, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and Integrated Marketing. -------- David Freeman is an Australian entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of H2coco. David established H2coco in 2010, at the age of 25, launching a packaged long-life coconut water range into a market that at the time was new and highly untouched in Australia and New Zealand. A passionate health advocate, David was confident coconut water had the potential to grow far beyond a ‘fad’ beverage and envisioned it to be the next leading beverage category. In 2018, Coconut Water continues to grow globally as a category and H2coco is the dominant product within Australia and New Zealand. From its humble roots, today H2coco has grown to 50+ products and around 20,000 distribution outlets nationally and within 8 countries. The business is now scaling its global distribution and continues to innovate and stay in front of consumer trends with its ever-expanding range of “better for you” products, including Watermelon water, Superfoods and Banana water. In 2014 David was awarded “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” from the Small Business Champions Awards and H2coco was awarded “Best New Product” of 2012 by AdNews Australia, Telstra Business awards finalist 2015, “Best Growth Strategy” by My Business Magazine in 2013, and again awarded Supplier of the year from JB Metro 2016. David’s interests span architecture, construction, music festivals, the hospitality industry - restaurant eateries and nightlife spots, and now the latest must-have, healthy beverages.
