I designed this 3-day training programme covering the management, monitoring and evaluation of programmes funded by the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds and the pre-accesion instruments. Some 250 government officials from the 12 States that joined the EU in 2004 and 2007 and from the 3 candidate countries (Croatia, Turkey and Macedonia) participated in the 13 courses which I delivered as lead trainer between 2007 and 2010. This course was sponsored by the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This included participation in evaluation projects at both member state and at EU level (for the European Commission) and in evaluation capacity-building and training activity in several countries including Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary and Romania.
