Represent the owners at the shipyard during new building as defined in owner’s specification & yards’ contracts, and approve on site samples, selection of suitable equivalent equipment and substitutes identify any discrepancies, ensure good shipbuilding practice is followed. Co-ordinate the project between the shipyard, owner’s direct suppliers, owner’s consultant and owner’s office. Oversee and approve all drawings submitted by the consultant & shipyard, prior to submission to classification and ensure all approved drawing are provided without delay as per the shipyard’s schedule. Supervise the new building maintaining close contact with the shipyard at all levels, foresee any possible delays, problems and find immediate solutions. Co-ordinate with classification, ensure all recommendation, documentation etc. required to be carried or submitted by shipyard, suppliers, owners etc. are followed through. Provide technical support & assistance, specification, design, drawings, coordination with classification etc. for new building or for any upgrading for existing vessels in the fleet.

Responsible for all work carried out in workshop and on board with a team of foreman’s, platters, welders , ordering of materials and control of consumables, preventative maintenance, quality control, discipline and timekeeping, control of work to shot blasters / painters and final delivery to client. Duties included the planning of activities ensuring all resources, equipment and materials were available to enable tasks to be completed on schedule. Daily meetings with production manager and project manager ensuring all technical and procurement issues were resolved. As site Manager I was involved with daily progress and Inspections to ensure quality and targets were being met.

* Conducts site inspection and identifies scope of work based on work specifications/drawings, as identified by the Ship’s Superintendent. * Provides on the spot technical information and repair recommendations as required. * Plot all repair on location drawings, (Marked up drawing), as sole reference for the total scope of identified/accepted jobs and have it approved by the Ship’s Superintendent. * Develops repair working drawing and detail fabrication drawing for specific job. * Lay out and develops pattern for irregular shapes and transitional * pieces. * Issues Work Process for production shops, with detailed instructions to do the job. * Provides man hours and materials estimates for specific job. * Provide Job Completion Report for invoicing purposes. * Keeping evidence of jobs done in shop * Assist in production meetings * Send descriptions with all jobs done onboard to invoice * Coordination between Work Preparator Office and onboard team

* 1. Liaise with design department to obtain clear specifications * 2. Support the design department and contract managers with necessary drawings from * concept to handover. * 3. Create detailed CAD drawings for production * 4. Create detailed CAD drawing for on site work * 5. Liaise with Joinery Manager to understand needs * 6. Liaise with external manufactures to under stand needs * 7. Carry out site surveys * 8. Solve fabrication problems * 9. Continuously look for and suggest ways to improve the process * 10. Follow Trimline quality control procedures

* On site supervision of construction personnel * Ensure and encourage good teamwork in the construction groups (onshore or offshore ) * Ensure close co-operation and coordination with the production and maintenance groups( onshore or offshore) * Ensure the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, Company policies and relevant laws and regulations * Estimation and planning of construction jobs * Planning and coordination of construction manning in accordance with activity plans in close coordination with the Project Manager (Rig Manager). * Coordinate materials delivery * Actively monitor work progress and report * Participation for final inspection with Class and Client (Owner rep.) * Participation in preparing punch lists for construction jobs * Finalize as-built documentation
