About
My passions, under the broad umbrella of Molecular Imaging and Radiotherapy in cancer, include utilizing (modality-agnostic) imaging to interrogate pathophysiologic processes and inform cancer drug development. Systemic radiotherapy promises delivery of cytotoxic radiation targeted to specific features of the cancer cell phenotype, as well as the solid tumor microenvironment, with minimal toxicity to organs at risk. My doctoral (PhD) training in the Ron Breslow lab at Columbia University enables me to address molecules of (imaging and therapeutic) interest in cancer at multiple levels, from optimization to production/distribution of drug product. I led (with Dr. Chaitanya Divgi) the institution and utilization of beta-minus (m[131I]BG and others) and alpha ([223Ra]Chloride) therapies in the clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. My extensive training and experience in academic imaging development span the gamut from validated measures (e.g., RECIST, FDG PET-CT, MRI/MRS, with Dr. Larry Schwartz) to novel methods including PET/SPECT tracers, textural analysis and AI, and have facilitated my leadership previously at Bristol Myers Squibb and RefleXion Medical in developing imaging biomarkers and PET imaging agents to accelerate Immuno-modulatory Drug Development and Biology guided External Beam Radiation Therapy, respectively. In sum, Molecular (including and not limited to PET) Imaging can reveal tumor biology and has huge potential in predicting and guiding cancer therapy. I hope to remain at the forefront of this exciting new frontier in oncology and apply this concept into additional therapeutic areas.

"Turning cancer on itself. Finally." RefleXion Medical is a privately held medical technology company developing Biology-Guided RadioTherapy (BgRT), a novel modality for cancer treatment. By leveraging Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in a novel way, RefleXion's technology causes tumors to continuously signal their location during treatment with external-beam radiotherapy, potentially revolutionizing cancer treatment of localized and metastatic disease. Enabling novel combination therapy, we expect BgRT to significantly increase the benefit of immunotherapy, targeted therapeutics and targeted radionuclide therapy. We thrive to "reveal cancer like never before and beat it for everyone, everywhere." www.refleXion.com
