Senior Management Consultant as Owner’s Representative, for a cost plus $512 million+, LEED Design, CFIA/ USDA/ BRC food processing plant in Ontario, Canada. The state of the art facility was built following the most stringent GMP’s and HACCP programs in the food industry; with pharmaceutical grade clean rooms in RTE processing; Started with the project at the Initiation phase of BOD approval, with an emphasis on the Planning, Scope, WBS & Cost phases which enabled effective Controls and Monitoring. Accountable for the project’s internal controls and administration activities from RFP and tender processes for construction subcontractors and process equipment purchasing through final payments and closeout. The SMC’s team monitors the project’s cost, scope, budget, and progress for adherence to contract documents and agreements; using a system of controls to forecast potential issues and highlight deviations from baseline budgets and schedules to assist the management of the project. The SMC works with the entire project team to monitor the project and report regularly to senior management. The SMC is accountable for setting up the day-to-day project management processes and procedures to run and monitor the project. Provides leadership on interactions between the team and the overall project management. Works with executives and outside counsel on claims and litigation stemming from the project.
