I worked as a tutor for a range of subjects such as English, Science - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics- Statistics, Calculus, Economics and Accounting from ages 5 to 18 (Including NCEA 1-3). This involved a lot of critical thinking and multitasking and I felt it was very helpful in improving work ethic and gain a deeper understanding of learning methods. This was done with the owner of Reach For Success Heather Bills who was a former teacher and deputy principal.

* As a Research & Development Engineer I helped create new opportunities and processes inside of Rockford and I am involved in a range of custom built solutions, build to print products and custom testing equipment. * As a design engineer at Rockford I've tackled a range of projects that have been mainly based in the mechanical and electrical aspects of engineering. In particular this had lead me to work with several key leaders in the Defence & Aerospace industry. These range from Lockheed Martin UK, BAE Systems, Moog, CTA International and others. * My responsibilities I held in this role were: * Generating design requirements * Developing custom aircraft test equipment and storage containers * Development of testing requirements/instructions for electro-mechanical assemblies * Rapid 3-D printing prototyping and customer design aids. Creating efficiency gains and cost savings in the production of the FT Technologies wind sensor product line. A prestigious independent Presbyterian day and boarding school high school based in Auckland, New Zealand. Based in Auckland the largest city of New Zealand it overlooks the waters of Pakuranga with grounds covering a vast amoung of Pakuranga. It is home to some of the best tennis, golf, rugby, cycling and triathlon teams in New Zealand. Producing some of the world's best Rugby players such as All Blacks Joe Rokocoko, John Afoa and Jerome Kaino. Activities and Societies: Captain of the B division of Saint Kentigern College Badmintion Club. Involved with the tennis and cricket teams during my time at Saint Kentigern

Mechatronics is a fairly new degree and consists of some of the hardest parts of mechanical, electrical and software engineering. It has various potential applications such as automation and robotics. In addition to the skills gained through this degree I was a part of 2 man project to design, manufacture and test a small scale axial turbojet engine. This essentially took the precursor to traditional turbofan Jet engines in use today in aeroplanes. It involved heavy aspects of CAD and CAM design, as well as the operation of CNC machines such as the EMCO 105 Concept Mill and the EMCO 155 Concept Lathe. The project was a great success and we were able to go further than any other team before us had come. We were able to have several successful burn tests and verify power outputs for the engine.
