About
I am an Industrial-Organizational Psychology graduate student at California Baptist University driven by a strong desire to help people and organizations grow. My journey began when I immigrated to the United States at the age of 16, with the goal of working to support my family back home. With the encouragement of others, I embarked on a new educational path-first learning English, then discovering my passion for psychology. During my undergraduate studies, a human factors course introduced me to I-O psychology, igniting my interest in leadership development, organizational change, and evidence-based workplace improvement. I currently work for a major corporation as a Loss Prevention Detective, where I enhance my skills in communication, attention to detail, risk assessment, and collaboration with employees and external stakeholders, such as law enforcement. Every day, I learn the value of psychological principles in high-pressure environments, which support both safety and positive relationships. As the first in my family to pursue higher education, I am motivated to be a leader who serves others with integrity, compassion, and professionalism. I am actively seeking opportunities to continue developing my consulting skills in training, HR, and organizational development. My long-term goal is to support companies in developing strong leaders and fostering healthy workplaces where people can thrive, feel included, and perform at their best.
