Dave Hallam

I am an accomplished built environment professional and senior leader with over 25 years’ experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor providing Construction, Project Management and Operational expertise on major capital programmes of work and complex real estate portfolios worldwide, as well as providing strategic advice across the asset lifecycle. I moved to Hong Kong from the UK in 2011 to take up the role of Operations Director for the outsourced Facilities Management and Real Estate function of a major Global Financial Institution, managing a diverse 6 million ft2 high value and critical asset portfolio including data centres, retail, corporate offices (including HKHQ), and residential assets, overseeing a team of 200+ people, delivering FM services, driving long term maintenance strategies and sustainability initiatives. Other notable organisations I have worked with include The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and associated authorities, consulting on their project and operational strategy, as well as various UK based Public Sector, Retail and CRE Clients supporting portfolio wide Project Management and FM Strategies as well as the integration of engineering and whole lifecycle solutions. I have spent the last 15 years in various strategic leadership positions in the UK and Asia including responsibility for driving long term business planning, client & market development, commercial performance, leading client service and facilitating regional growth strategies. I take pride in inspiring and empowering the teams I lead to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes and excel as a problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong focus on creating an environment for success. In my capacity as a Professional member of the RICS, I have been appointed to several non-executive / voluntary leadership roles including multiple terms as chair of the Hong Kong RICS Board as well as sitting on the RICS Asia Pacific World Regional Board. In addition, I have previously held both Board Member and Chair Person positions with IFMA Hong Kong and the broader Asia region. All of these roles demand exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with strategic partner organisations.
