Dato' Daniel Yow Yik Leong

Dato’ Daniel Yow Yik Leong Master District Director D.K.R.T., ChFC, Dip. FP, Dip. SCI Daniel joined AIA in 1990 at the age of 23. Despite having limited contacts and no previous sales experience, he has established himself as an insurance industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. He founded his agency and district in 1996. At that time, he experienced numerous hurdles, roadblocks and challenges but his perseverance, acquired skillsets and knowledge under AIA's structured training and mentorship ultimately led him to success. Under his mentorship and leadership, he has mentored and produced several District Managers and Directors of high caliber, competence and success in the course of his career. He is a firm believer of empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential with the motto “Defining Your Greatness (DYG)”, also known as Daniel Yow Group (SP-DYG) in AIA. In 2018, he was presented the top Agency Leader accolade title of Master District Director in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the company. He continues his lifetime mission to pursue his passion to mentoring the next generation of leaders. Dato’ Daniel was conferred the Honorary Title by the current Javanese Monarchy, Pakubuwono XIII in Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace in Central Java, Indonesia in 2011. He was previously the President of the Financial Services Managers' Association (FSMA) for 3 terms between 2011-2017 and is currently serving in the Board of Governors. The Financial Services Managers Association (FSMA) is the only voluntary organisation in the Financial Services & Insurance Industry in Singapore dedicated to serving the needs of all agency field leaders and managers in their pursuit of excellence and professionalism.
