* Refocus is a project based in north inner city Cork. * The program involves working with young people both male/female aged 18-25 years * Majority of participants are early school leavers and most would not have had a positive experience with education. * Worked with young people who suffered from or are recovering from substance abuse or alcoholism * Linked in with other community services such as Drugs Project Workers and referred students as necessary. * Liaised with onsite social worker about appropriate progression of students. * Developed and delivered programs and supports for students with regard to career progression, character building and personal development. * Delivered FETAC modules which contributed to the students end of year award. * Sourced work placement opportunities for students.

* Worked as part of a team in the delivery of physical activities for adults and young people. This included warm up, main activity and cool down. * Planned and facilitated both indoor and outdoor physical education sessions for two local school groups, activities included athletics, tag rugby, basketball, soccer and badminton. * Developed an “Auskick” program for the centre. This is Aussie Rules for kids and was the first of its kind to be introduced in the area. * Engaged with a variety of drop in groups which required facilitation for one day activities.
