Created online community dedicated to the cooperative education and promotion of Texas movie-makers, both professional and amateur. Grew from zero to 3,000 active members in about 18 months with no advertising or marketing budget. Hosted in-person workshops, seminars, screenings, and other events, and created subgroups and networking channels for actors, directors, screenwriters, producers, editors, sound professionals, cinematographers, and other cast and crew. Also created a popular corresponding TFS Podcast on iTunes.

Led $3 million project portfolio for the CEO of a $60B P&C quasi-state insurance company. Worked closely with senior leadership to analyze opportunities and reengineer the business, and move it onto the web. Managed change and tech projects concurrently in a highly charged political environment. Resulted in 150% increase in claims capacity, and 10x increase in underwriting capacity without additional FTEs. Converted from W2 to consultant in 2007.

Volunteered to serve on the Board of Directors of this storied organization. We turned it from insolvency to profitable to thriving. Later elected President. Left due to family and work demands.

* Hired as COO after a brief consulting engagement to turn-around 50-person mobile software development startup firm with a goal of acquisition. Ownership received three term sheets (M&A offers) within 9 months, and company was being acquired when I left, although it ultimately shut down. * Achieved 55% productivity gain with 15% lower spend in 6 months while serving as COO/interim CIO. * Worked with CEO/CFO and investors to position the company for acquisition. * Created and implemented go-to-market strategy for "productizing" our internal IP. * Responsible for 70+ full life-cycle product designs and releases (PLM), both mobile and web portals. * Managed vendor and internal deliverables against cash flow, working closely with the CFO and CEO. * Built out and scaled IT infrastructure, security, and personnel. * Reengineered project workflow process and controls for greater effectiveness and transparency. * Assisted in closing large sales. * Directed video marketing and copywriting efforts for SXSW 2011. * Supervised hiring and termination for all operational departments.

Provided strategy, process, and change management consulting for clients on in the U.S, Europe, Australia, and Asia, including National Australia Bank Group, USAA, Yorkshire Electricity (now CE Power), Legal & General Assurance, Dixon's Stores Group, plc, British Telecom, the United Way, Ogilvy & Mather, the University of Texas, and many others. Founder of the Austin, Texas chapter of The COO Forum, an invitation-only peer group expressly for Second-in-Command Executives.
